Chairman
Craig Marshall began his career in automotive working for Ford Motor Company for eight years handling management positions in marketing, sales, promotion/advertising and merchandising. His love of cars endures, but his career went from automotive to broadcasting where he has set his roots and prospered.
Craig has spent nearly 30 years in the industry, first with Group W and then with Hearst Broadcasting (now known as Hearst/Argyle Television). He progressed through local TV and radio sales, national TV rep sales to national, local and general sales management.
Lured away by the prospect that television could be sold more effectively by learning to speak the language of local retailers and businesses, Craig left Hearst to become vice president and general manger of the Target Dollar$ÔDivision of GMA Research Corporation headquartered in Seattle, Washington. In January of 1985 he bought the division, which is now part of his own firm, Marshall Marketing & Communications Inc.
Craig has driven the industry with his passion for broadcasters to go beyond the standard demo of 25-54 and to embrace client-focused selling. And his determination for superior customer service and quality research has allowed Marshall Marketing to secure decades-old relationships with some of the biggest broadcast companies in the business.
With his penchant for fervent presentations, Craig is a highly requested speaker and sales trainer throughout the country. In his free time, Craig enjoys his empty nester home and his young/old life with his wife Wendy. And although he won’t admit it, golf has overtaken tennis as his favorite pastime.
